Linda Patton is the Director of Legacy Estates of Monmouth. As Director, Linda is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the facility and staff. She brings many years of experience in the healthcare field with most recently working as the Campus Administrator for a retirement community in Peoria. She is passionate about her job and strives to assist tenants and their families with all their needs. Linda was born and raised in East Moline, Illinois and currently resides with her husband Mike in Alpha, Illinois. She has three boys: Josh (Amy), Aaron (Casey) and Tyler. She is a proud Nana of Isabella(10) and Isaac(3). She enjoys boating, flower gardening, ceramics and spending time with her grandchildren. Her door is always open so please stop by with any questions or just to say hello.
Karen Cook-Boughton is the Wellness Director at Legacy Estates of Monmouth. Karen decided to get into healthcare after her husband passed away in 1997. In 1999, she graduated from Southeastern Community College with an Associates Degree in Computer Main Frame Programming. Karen first decided to give back to her community by becoming a volunteer EMT for Oquawka Ambulance Service. After completing that class,Karen decided to become a CNA. That is when she came to Petersen Health Care. Karen began her career with Petersen in 2004. She received a scholarship from Petersen Healthcare and became an LPN in 2007 and she has been working at Legacy Estates ever since. Karen truly enjoys her job. Karen is responsible for supervising the nursing care delivered by our top notch staff of highly skilled nurses and Certified Nurses Aides. She is also responsible for working with the residents and families to assist in writing their plan of care to make sure we are always meeting their needs.
Business Office Manager
Jaimie Avery is the Business Office Manager here at Legacy Estates. She has worked in the Supportive Living Program for over 10 years. Jaimie’s responsibilities include billing, payroll, and scheduling all the doctor appointments. She has intense experience and enjoys navigating the Medicaid program and is the approved representative for each Medicaid tenant at Legacy. Jaimie resides in Cameron, Illinois with her husband Trent of 15 years and her 2 boys, Tucker(14) and a freshman in High School and Tage(9) a 4th grader. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her boys, swimming, watching scary movies, and traveling to haunted places. Halloween is the entire family’s favorite holiday. She is very excited to become part of the Legacy team and to be able to use her experience and knowledge to enhance the lives of the tenants at Legacy Estates. Admissions & Marketing Coordinator
Whitney Pruett joined our team in June 2017 as the Marketing & Admissions Coordinator. She has worked in Hospice for the last 8 years starting as a CNA, then Volunteer Coordinator and eventually as a marketer. Whitney’s responsibilities here at Legacy Estates will include building community relations, census development, fundraising, marketing, creating and maintaining attractive suites, event planning and admitting new tenants. Whitney resides in Alexis, Illinois with her boyfriend Chris and two beautiful little girls Ella(6) and Eva(4). She has her Bachelor’s degree from WIU and is working on her Master’s from SNHU. In her spare time she enjoys watching both girls tumble and play t-ball. She has a love for watching the Cubs and spending time with her family. Active Lifestyles Coordinator
Teresa McGeehon is a Native American from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa but was raised in Monmouth. Teresa has two daughters and one son who have given her four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. In her spare time, Teresa enjoys camping and spending time at the Mississippi River with her friends and family around the campfire.
Teresa has been a Certified Nurse’s Aide for 22 years and for 8 of those years, she has been employed here at Legacy Estates. Recently, Teresa was promoted to the position of Active Lifestyles Coordinator. She is very excited for this new position as it will allow her more one on one time with the tenants she has come to know and love. Teresa is also responsible for creating a monthly calendar of events to keep everyone up and active. She would like to invite everyone to come and talk to her with any ideas they have for an outing or activity and to remind our community that all senior citizens are welcome to join us for anything we have scheduled. Food Services Director
Brent Simpson is the Dietary Manager for Legacy Estates of Monmouth, a Monmouth native and die-hard Cubs and Blackhawk fan. Brent spent 10 years at Soangetaha Country Club in Galesburg, where he was extensively trained by four head chefs. Most recently, he spent six years in Rockford Illinois as the Dietary Supervisor for Presence Health where he managed a large kitchen staff. After being away from his hometown for seven years, Brent decided to return to be close to his friends and family. Brent’s responsibilities here at Legacy Estates include, managing housekeeping and dietary staff, kitchen inventory, scheduling and quality control. Brent’s main priority is to ensure resident’s happiness. Brent would like to personally invite you to join our beloved resident’s for a home cooked meal.
